Meet the Doctor

I love being an orthodontist. It is everything I was looking for in a profession, allowing me flexibility to spend time with my family while creating rockin’ smiles!

When I was a teen, my life transformed after my orthodontic treatment. I love to help others – people who start treatment as patients and finish as my friends – feel the same way about their smile!

I love seeing my patients' progression from the beginning stages of treatment to the final, beautiful smile that changes their life. It is amazing that I make a living doing something that I love: changing lives, one person and one smile at a time!

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology, Utah Valley University
  • Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), University of Louisville
  • Master of Science (MS) and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Seton Hill University

I love to learn and consider myself to be a lifelong learner. That is critical, I think, in any profession, but especially in orthodontics. Ongoing research continually results in new methodologies, materials, and technologies, which can improve the patient experience, as well as efficiency and results.

Continuing education keeps me current on the latest information. I am able to embrace evidence-based treatments and utilize leading-edge technology for the best possible outcomes.

In addition to attending local, regional, and national conferences, I complete courses and participate in seminars and lectures.

I am an active member of the:

  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • American Dental Association
  • Indiana Dental Association
  • North Central Dental Society, current Vice President

These organizations allow me to learn from the leading practitioners and researchers in orthodontics and general dentistry.

Beyond the Practice

I was raised in Orem, UT, and now consider Granger my family’s home. My wife Tiffani and I have five kids – Dylan, Hallie, Derek, Devin, and Haven – who keep us busy! As a family, we love being together and enjoy attending the kids’ many soccer, dance, gymnastics, and basketball practices, games, competitions, and performances.

I also enjoy serving as a leader in my local youth church group and stay active trying to help and serve others.

Oh, you may have noticed the “Rock Music” theme throughout the website: I love music, play the guitar and bass guitar, and have loved playing in different rock bands since junior high!
